Netflix will delete inactive accounts

Netflix has decided to clean the list of subscribers. Inactive accounts will be deleted. This has just been revealed by the streaming service. With all the various types of subscriptions nowadays with the many streaming services, it can happen rather fast. Especially if you decide to no longer use the streaming service at all. You could think of a subscription at the local gym, which you suddenly no longer use after two weeks. Netflix also has a decent amount of those who subscribe and afterwards decide to never use the streaming service again.



Netflix will now change that. Accounts from inactive users will be removed. If you haven´t watched anything on the streaming service for more than a year, then you will receive a warning via e-mail. If you don't react to that e-mail, then your subscription will be cancelled. The streaming service has revealed that this will affect hundreds of thousands of accounts. If you later find out that Netflix has decided to delete your account, don't worry. You can still reacquire your account and the viewing history on it. The account, with profiles, watchlist and history will be saved for another ten months before being permanently removed.
