Science fiction series The Cleaners in production at Amazon

Dominic Orlando (The OA), Orlando Bloom (Carnival Row) and Ken Liu have started working on short series called The Cleaners for Amazon Prime Video. The story of the new science fiction series The Cleaners is loosely based on the story of the princess and the pea by Hans Christian Andersen. Ken Liu (Pantheon) has written The Cleaners. The short series is developed by Dominic Orlando (The OA), who will serve alongside Orlando Bloom (Carnival Row) and Liu as executive producer. Amazon Studios produces the series alongside Bloom's Amazing Owl.

The Cleaners imagines how inanimate objects retain the memories of the people that surround them. A small number of people has the ability to relive these memories by touching these objects. 'Cleaners' are specialists who are hired to 'clean' the objects from the memories and the emotional burdens that accommodate them. The series revolves around a young man, who inherits the cleaning company from his family. He takes on a mysterious new assignment.
