Spectrum orders coronavirus series The Second Wave by Robert and Michelle King

Spectrum has ordered the six-part series The Second Wave. Robert and Michelle King created and wrote the series, which revolves around the second corona wave. The Second Wave revolves around the unexpected, deadly second wave of the coronavirus in New York City. The story follows the lives of neighbours Rachel and Lily, as they end up isolated in the big city. There will be six episodes in total. The recording process is expected to start next week and will be finished on the 23rd of December so that the series can release near the end of this year.

The series has been created and written by Robert and Michelle King (The Good Fight). Next to that, they will serve as executive producers alongside Liz Glotzer (The Good Fight) and Brooke Kennedy (The Good Fight). Spectrum Originals and CBS Studios will be producing this series.

Audra McDonald (The Good Fight), Taylor Schilling (Orange is the New Black) and Steven Pasquale (The Comey Rule) will be portraying the lead characters in The Second Wave. McDonald portrays Rachel and Schilling portrays Lily. Pasquale portrays Dr Zach, Rachel's husband.
