Netflix will be adapting Assassin's Creed - one of the most lucrative video games in history - into a series. A larger deal was made with Ubisoft.
Netflix has signed a deal with Ubisoft, which allows Netflix to create live-action, animated and anime series that are based on the popular international video game franchise Assassin's Creed. The first series in development is a live-action adaptation of the video games. Jason Altman (Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet) and Danielle Kreinik (Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet) from Ubisoft Film & Television will serve as executive producer. At the moment, a showrunner has not yet been found.
Back in 2017, Ubisoft indicated that there were plans to adapt the games into series. Since this announcement, more than 155 million Assassin's Creed games have been sold. It is thus, undoubtedly, one of the most lucrative video games in history.
