Finding Forrester series adaptation in the works at NBC

TJ Brady (The 100), Rasheed Newson (The 100) and Tim Story (White Famous) are working on a series adaptation of the movie Finding Forrester for NBC.
NBC is working on a new series called Finding Forrester. The series is based on the movie with the same name by Gus van Sant that released in 2000. Down below, you can watch the trailer of the movie. In the series, the story revolves around a unique bond between two talented black writers, a homeless sixteen-year-old orphan who uses his talent for basketball in order to get into a competitive elite boarding school and a withdrawn lesbian author whose career was ruined by a public scandal.

TJ Brady (The 100) and Rasheed Newson (The 100) will be writing the series adaptation. The episodes will be directed by Tim Story (White Famous). Brady, Newton and Story will serve as executive producer alongside Stephen Curry (Benedict Men), Erick Peyton (Stephen vs. The Game) and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett (Prince of Peoria. Sony Pictures TV will be responsible for production.
