Burn In series adaptation and two comedies in production at CBS

CBS will create a series adaptation of the book Burn In. Besides that, two comedy series from Emily Halpern (Black-ish) and Sarah Haskins (Black-ish) have entered production. CBS is working on a drama series that is based on the bok Burn In: A Novel of the Real Robot Revolution by P.W. Singer and August Cole. The series is written by Rob Doherty. Furthermore, the series comes from Rideback and CBS Studios. The series revolves around an FBI agent whose life is changed when she has to test an advanced police robot for her next assignment.

Besides that, Emily Halpern (Black-ish) and Sarah Haskins' (Black-ish) CBS Middle Class Murdochs has entered production. This series revolves around the owner of a successful carpet store in Ohio. He retires and has to decide which of his four adult children will take over the family business.

The network has also ordered a pilot of a comedy called The Smart One, which comes from the same creators. The Smart One revolves around two sisters who are reunited once the smarter one - who was expected to be successful - moves in with the other one, who actually became a success.
