Lead role for Brie Larson in Apple TV+'s Lessons in Chemistry

Actress Brie Larson (Community) will portray one of the lead characters in the new Apple TV+ original series Lessons in Chemistry. The series comes from Susannah Grant (Unbelievable). Apple TV+ has ordered a new series called Lessons in Chemistry. Brie Larson (Community) will portray one of the lead characters. Next to acting, she will also serve as executive producer. The drama series comes from the mind of Susannah Grant (Unbelievable) and Aggregate films. Grant will write the series. It is based on the debut book with the same name by Bonnie Garmus, which will be published soon.

The story takes place in the early 60s and revolves around Elizabeth Zott (Larson). Her dream to become a scientist is shattered due to the state of society, which considers women to be at home in the kitchen. She finds out that she is expecting, she has no steady relationship and she is fired from the lab she works at. She accepts a job as a host at a cooking show and is determined to teach the world more than new recipes.
