Dakota (The Alienist) and Elle Fanning (The Great) are working on a new crime thriller series called The Last Guest. It is the first production to be part of the UTA and MRC deal.
The sisters Dakota (The Alienist) and Elle Fanning (The Great) have started their own production company, Lewellen Pictures. They've signed a first-look deal with UTA and MRC. The first series they're going to work on as part of the deal is the crime series The Last House Guest. The series is based on the bestseller with the same name by Megan Miranda.
The story revolves around two girls that have an intimate friendship. They fall in love with each other's difference, which eventually leads to doubt, treachery and tragedy. Sarah Walker (The Secrets She Keeps) will be writing the series. Next to that, she will serve as executive producer.

"Our goal is to tell stories, through comedy and drama, which are authentic to the human experience, and not just from our own perspective,” said the Fannings in a joint statement."
