Richard Dreyfuss to portray lead character in series about the American city Bozeman

Richard Dreyfuss (Shots Fired) is working alongside historian and screenplay writer Jerry K. Williams on a new series about the founding of the city Bozeman, Montana.
Historian and screenplay writer Jerry K. Williams has created the series. Richard Dreyfuss (Shots Fired) will portray the lead character. They will both be responsible for the production and development of the series, which is a historical drama about the founding of the western city Bozeman in Montana. This city is known for its vicinity to Yellowstone and its rich American history.

Bozeman takes place in 1859, and it revolves around the young farmer John Bozeman and the gunslinger William McKenzie. The series is based on the first American gold rush in the heart of the Cherokee Nation. They find themselves in an unspoiled, beautiful valley in the middle of Indian Country, a valley of which John Bozeman believes he can claim and tame it.

Williams added, “It’s important to Richard and me that the series be historically accurate, not only from the view of Bozeman and McKenzie and the settlers they helped move into the valley, but also from the indigenous peoples who had lived there since time immemorial and whose way of life would be forever altered.”
