Peacock orders Girl in the Woods

Peacock is going to adapt the short horror Girl in the Woods from Crypt TV into a series. It will be the directing debut of Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones). Girl in the Woods revolves around Carrie, who escaped from a mysterious, cult-like colony that guards the world against monsters. It finds itself hidden behind a secret door in the woods. The short horror movie Girl in the Woods is the sequel to the short movie The Door in the Woods by Crypt TV. Peacock has decided to adapt it into a series. It is not yet known when it is going to release on Peacock.

Eight episodes were ordered. Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) will direct the first four episodes. Ritter considers the pilot script to be one of the most exciting scripts to be handed to her. Jacob Chase (film Come Play) will direct the remaining episodes. In the series, new actors will be cast in place of the actors from the short movie with the same name.
