HBO adapts Invisible Life book series by E. Lynn Harris into a television series

The three-part book series Invisible Life by E. Lynn Harris is turned into a television series by HBO. The books released in 1991.
The coming of age story follows the sexual discoveries of a young black man, who realises he is gay. The topics that are discussed in the books include bisexuality and aids. At the time, these topics were quite controversial. The first book is called Invisible Life, the two after that are called Just As I Am and Abide With Me.

Harrison David Rivers (Tuesday Nights) is adapting the books into a television series. Next to that, he will serve alongside Proteus Spann (Soul Food) as executive producer. “It has been the passion of my adult life to bring E. Lynn’s masterful storytelling to a broader audience,” said Spann.
