Animated series Batman: Caped Crusader ordered by HBO Max and Cartoon Network

HBO Max and Cartoon Network have given a straight to series order for the new animated series Batman: Caped Crusader. After the success of Batman: The Animated Series, there's going to be another animated Batman version from Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series). HBO Max and Cartoon Network have ordered Batman: Caped Crusader. This is going to be the ninth animated series that focuses on the iconic DC character. The series will be produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions and 6th & Idaho.

The series comes from the previously mentioned Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams (Westworld) and Matt Reeves (Away). They have said that they're looking forward to bringing the character back and tell many new interesting stories that take place in Gotham City. Not a lot of details have been revealed. It was revealed that the series is linked to Batman's film noir roots and that the series will dive deep into the brain of Batman.
