AMC Studios and bigbaldhead, Norman Reedus' (The Walking Dead) production company, are working on a new series, which is based on the movie Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill!. The project is still in an early stage, but AMC Studios has joined forces with the production company bigbaldhead. They will adapt the movie classic Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill! from Russ Meyer into a series. The adaptation will be a tribute to the original, but it will provide more depth into certain topics. The story revolves around three strong female characters. They travel through the desert and are trying to go big.
The series is part of a two-year-long first-look deal that Reedus signed with AMC Studios. As the series is still in an early production phase, not many details are known. Reedus is, for one, quite enthusiastic about the project. “I’ve been watching Russ Meyer’s film since I was a kid, wearing my Faster Pussycat, Kill Kill! shirt to school,” Reedus told Deadline today. “It’s safe to say I’m beyond inspired by Russ’ style of filmmaking and I am over the moon excited for the opportunity to reimagine this story for the modern world.” Reedus will serve as executive producer.
