Apple TV+ orders Wool featuring Rebecca Ferguson

Apple TV+ has ordered the drama series Wool, which is based on the books by Hugh Howey. Rebecca Ferguson (The White Queen) portrays the lead character. Wool is a dystopian drama series that is based on three books from Hugh Howey. Graham Yost (Band of Brothers) will write the screenplay. Rebecca Ferguson (The White Queen) will tell the story to the viewers as she is going to portray the lead character. It is not yet known who will join Ferguson as part of the cast. Morten Tyldum (Defending Jacob) will direct the episodes.

Wool takes place in a future wherein everything is destroyed and poisoned. A community is living hundreds of meters below the ground in a giant underground silo. The people there live according to rules that should keep them safe. Ferguson will portray Juliette, an independent and hardworking engineer.
