Series adaptation of American Gigolo at Showtime

Last year, American Gigolo was given a pilot order by Showtime. Now, the network has ordered the entire series. The series revolves around Julian, who tries to find the truth eighteen years after he was arrested for murder. He tries to get a grip on his life in the modern-day sex industry in Los Angeles and hopes to regain contact with his one true love Michelle.

American Gigolo is a modern retelling of the iconic movie that released in 1980. Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) will portray the lead character. The series has been written by David Hollander (Ray Donovan). It is not yet known when the series is set to premiere. Last year, Showtime ordered a pilot of the series. Now, it has been given a series order.
