Comedy series Rock Camp in development at FOX

FOX is developing the comedy series Rock Camp from Steve Basilone, Jeff Rowe and David Fishof, founder of Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp.
The project follows a down-on-his-luck rock star who, after a string of failures, reluctantly takes up teaching at Rock Camp - a summer camp where anyone can live out their fantasy to shine alongside their favorite rockers - in order to fulfill a court order and save his reputation.

Basilone, the co-executive producer of The Goldbergs, has also written for Community and The Michael J. Fox Show. He will write and co-produce Rock Camp with Rowe and Fishof.

Fishof (pictured) started Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp after working with Ringo Starr, Roger Daltrey, The Monkees, Joe Walsh and Peter Frampton. He launched it in 1997 and has guided more than six thousand people through their rock star dreams. He previously co-produced a reality series for VH1 with Mark Burnett that ran for two seasons.

Rowe is an advisor to Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp and producer of a recent documentary about it.

Rock Camp is produced by Fox Entertainment Studios, which was founded to produce its own series.

It's the network's latest comedy project, ahead of the launch of Animal Control, starring Joel McHale, which launches next month, alongside series like Call Me Kat and Welcome To Flatch.

Elsewhere on Fox's comedy development roster is a witness protection comedy from Michelle Nader, Remix, also in the music business, this time about a podcast-loving millennial trying to modernize his father's old funk recording studio, the true-crime comedy Dicks of Jared Goldstein and Mary Beth Barone, and Buffalo Tens, a dating comedy from Riki Lindhome and Natasha Leggero.
