Felicity Jones as an actress and producer involved in Formula 1 drama series One

Formula 1 enters the world of scripted television with One, a series about, how could it be otherwise, car races. Star Wars actress Felicity Jones will play the lead role. One is the organization's first officially licensed scripted series and focuses on the tumultuous rise of a fictional family-owned Formula 1 team, as it deals with fierce personalities, ever-changing rivals and millions in millions of dollars. It will mix fiction with the real world of F1, which has 23 races scheduled for the 2023 season.



Felicity Jones (pictured), star of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Theory Of Everything, will star and produce One. The British actress is mainly known for her film roles, although she has had some parts in television productions such as Doctor Who, BBC's mini-series The Diary of Anne Frank and HBO's comedy-drama series Girls.

The series comes from Tony To's Bedrock Entertainment and writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby. Jones will produce through Piecrust Pictures.

It is also the first major series for Bedrock Entertainment, which was launched as a joint venture between Band of Brothers producer To, True Detective executive producer Dan Sackheim and ITV Studios America. Formula 1 is on board as a producer.



Pending the end of the writers' strike, Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus (pictured) will serve as writers and executive producers on the series. The duo was nominated for an Oscar for Children of Men, wrote Iron Man and created the sci-fi series The Expanse.

To will produce for Bedrock, alongside Sackheim and Philippe Maigret, President and Managing Director of ITV Studios America. Jones and her brother Alexander Jones produce through Piecrust Pictures.
