Tim McGraw is heading to Netflix for a series all about bull riding. McGraw, known for his role as James Dutton in Yellowstone (2018) and its spin-off 1883, will star in a new, yet untitled drama series for the channel. This was announced last week during Netflix's Upfront presentation.
The series is written and created by Brandon Camp, who will also serve as executive producer. Camp will serve as co-showrunner alongside Taylor Elmore.
Set in the fierce, competitive world of bull riding, the series follows a megastar (McGraw, pictured) who finds himself at a crossroads between life and death when confronted with the arrival of a fearless young rider whose very existence challenges his ways and uncovers secrets that force him to confront his past.
The series comes from Skydance Television and Down Home.
Tim McGraw, Tim Staples, Brian Kaplan and Joel Bergvall for Down Home, as well as David Ellison, and Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell are executive producers.
