Reservation Dogs co-creator and showrunner Sterlin Harjo has his next series at FX. The Disney network has given a series order to a drama starring Ethan Hawke (who guest-starred in the final season of Reservation Dogs). Previously known as The Sensitive Kind, the untitled series is set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and reportedly has a film noir vibe surrounding Hawke's character, a "man who knows too much." Other details are being withheld for now.
FX declined to comment.
The final season of Reservation Dogs received a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series at the Emmy Awards in September, one of four nominations for the series this year. FX ordered a pilot for the new series in February.
In addition to Hawke, the cast includes Keith David, Siena East, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Tim Blake Nelson, Scott Shepherd, Tracy Letts, Kyle MacLachlan, Macon Blair, Killer Mike, Kaniehtiio Horne (who had a memorable recurring role as Deer Lady in Reservation Dogs) , Cody Lightning, Michael Hitchcock and Ryan Kiera Armstrong.
FX Productions, where Harjo (pictured above) has an overall agreement, produces the series. Harjo wrote and directed the pilot and will executive produce the series alongside Hawke and Garrett Basch.
The Harjo-Hawke drama is FX's second series order in the past two days. This week, the network ordered The Beauty from creators Ryan Murphy and Matthew Hodgson, based on the graphic novel of the same name.
