Dan Fogelman is adding another Hulu series to his portfolio, this one set in the high-stakes world of the NFL. Hulu has put the untitled project, which comes from 20th Television and Skydance Sports, into series. Details are scarce, but it is said to involve a generational family dynamic, in addition to the NFL setting.
Skydance Sports is a joint venture between David Ellison's Skydance and the NFL. The league is very careful with its brand, but said last year it wants to develop more scripts through the Skydance JV.
Fogelman (pictured) is the writer and executive producer alongside Jess Rosenthal, David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold and Jason T. Reed are the executive producers for Skydance Sports.
Fogelman is of course the creator of the popular NBC family drama This Is Us and has feature films such as Cars, Tangled and Crazy Stupid Love to his name. He is also no stranger to the sports drama genre, having created Fox's 2016 baseball series Pitch.
He is also the creator of another Hulu series, Paradise, starring Sterling K. Brown and James Marsden, and is executive producer of the Hulu hit Only Murders in the Building.
