
In The Walking Dead actor's long-awaited return to British television, Lincoln plays John, who moves with his family to the rural idyll of Coldwater, far away from London. Upon arrival, John quickly befriends his charming, confident neighbor Tommy (Ewen Bremner), a devoted husband to local Reverend Rebecca (Eve Myles). John's wife Fiona (Indira Varma) despises Tommy.
As her husband's relationship with their enigmatic new neighbor intensifies, Fiona's suspicions are aroused. She is not convinced that Tommy is what he appears to be. When John's long-suppressed rage comes to a head with disastrous consequences, he soon finds himself unexpectedly indebted to his new friend, unaware that Tommy himself harbors horrific secrets.
Cold Water is produced by Sister (Black Doves, Eric, Chernobyl) and will air and stream on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player later this autumn.
The series is written, created and produced by David Ireland. Lee Haven Jones directs the first three episodes. Andrew Cumming directs the second half of the series.
