CBS officially confirmed that they orderer a pilot of 'How I Met Your Dad', which will have the same creators as the original show.
The story will now be told from the perspective of a female character. According to the creator (Carter Bays) it will be a series with a seperate plot and different characters, so he rejected the possibility that Ted, Lily, Marshall, Barney and Robin might return in this new sitcom.
It was rumoured that the characters of the spin-off would be introduced in the final episode of 'How I Met Your Mother', which is currently in its ninth and final season. However, Carter Bays dismissed this in a tweet last Friday. He also rejected the rumour that 'How I Met Your Dad' would take place at the same pub.
Also #HIMYD probably won't be set in Maclarens -- new bar for a new show. And likewise the characters won't be introduced on #HIMYM .
