TV Land cancels Kirstie and orders The Gaffigan Show

Kirstie Alley's sitcom has been cancelled by TV Land. Despite the fact that there are three veterans in ‘Kirstie’ , two from Cheers and one from Seinfeld, the series wasn’t a success according to both critics and viewers. Perhaps the fact that showrunner Marco Pennette had to leave the show for personal reasons and the fact that they had to find a new executive producer for the second season because of this might be the cause for the lack of success this season.

While ‘Kirstie’ has been cancelled, TV Land just ordered another sitcom. They ordered ten episodes of ‘The Gaffigan Show’ with comedian Jim Gaffigan. Not only Jim Gaffigan plays a role but also Adam Goldberg, Michael Ian Black and Ashley Williams will appear on the show. The single-camera series is inspired by Gaffigans real life, the struggle of one man in New York City to find a balance between fatherhood, stand-up comedy and an insatiable appetite.

The Gaffigan Show will air sometime in 2015.

Are you sad to see ‘Kirstie’ go and are you going to watch ‘The Gaffigan Show’?
