MTV orders the series Scream

MTV has finally taken the plunge. The pilot, which was on the shelf for over a year, has been ordered as a series and will premiere in October 2015.

‘Scream’ will be a reboot of the Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson four part slasher movie franchise. The first part of ‘Scream’ was released in 1996 and it's about Sidney Prescott who is the target of a killer who has already murdered one of her classmates. A television journalist is determined to find out the truth, and thinks that the man who murdered Sidney's mother is the same as the one who is now targeting her. However, Sidney's friend becomes the main suspect.

Among others Bex Taylor-Klaus (‘Arrow’), Willa Fitzgerald (‘Alpha House’), Tracy Middendorf (‘The Last Ship’), Carlson Young (‘As the Bell Rings’) and Bobby Campo (‘Being Human’) will star in the series ‘Scream’.
