HBO announces new series and return dates and renewed talk show

HBO has made several announcements in one week. One of the announcements is the renewal of the talk show ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ with two seasons. That means that ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ will be on the tube until at least 2017. Season thirteen started on 9 January and for 2016 and 2017 season fourteen and fifteen are already planned with each 35 episodes. “HBO has provided Bill Maher with an uncensored forum since the late ‘80s,” noted Lombardo. “This extension of our successful partnership guarantees that Bill will continue to offer his fearless insights through the next presidential election season, when his irreverent wit is sure to be needed more than ever.” “Luckily for me, American politicians never give it a rest, so every season is an election season,” says Bill Maher.

On Sunday 12 April, three of HBO's series will start: the fifth season of ‘Game of Thrones’, the second season of ‘Silicon Valley’ and the fourth season of ‘Veep’. All these series will get ten episodes each.

The new comedy ‘The Brink’ will premiere in the summer of 2015. The series, starring Jack Black, Tim Robbins and Pablo Schreiber, will get 10 episodes. When a rogue general seizes control of Pakistan and its nuclear arsenal, the fate of the world rests on the shoulders of three improbable Americans: Secretary of State Walter Larson, lowly Foreign Service officer Alex Talbot and ace Navy fighter pilot Zeke Tilson. From the turbulent streets of the Middle East, to the White House Situation Room, to an aircraft carrier on the Red Sea, these three compromised souls must pull through the chaos around them to save the planet from World War Three.

Are you looking forward to 12 April? Are you going to watch ‘The Brink’? And do you follow the talk show of Bill Maher?
