Lauren Graham will have a main role in Disney+ series The Mighty Ducks

Disney + is working on the ten-part series The Mighty Ducks, as a sequel to the 1992 film.

Actress Lauren Graham, known for Parenthood and Gilmore Girls, will portray a major character in The Mighty Ducks. The series is set in present-day Minnesota, where the Mighty Ducks have evolved from filthy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerful youth hockey team. After 12-year-old Evan (Brady Noon) has been excused from the team, he and his mother Alex (Lauren Graham) set out to build their own ragtag team of misfits and try to achieve success.

The production of the Mighty Ducks will start in Vancouver this month, and the series will be released on Disney+ later this year. Josh Goldsmith, Cathy Yuspa and ABC Signature Studios will produce the series.
