Summer Sisters by Liz Tigelaar in production at Hulu

After Liz Tigelaar has developed the series Little Fires Everywhere based on the bestseller of the same name for Hulu, she started working on Summer Sisters by Jude Blume. Summer Sisters is about the life of two best friends and the impact that this friendship has on their lives. The story is set on Martha’s Vineyard, an island in the US state of Massachusetts.

Liz Tigelaar (Bates Motel) makes a series of adjustments based on Judy Blume’s bestseller called Summer Sisters. Tigelaar recently signed a contract for a collaboration between its production company Best Day Ever and ABC Studios. Summers Sisters is the first project that Tigelaar makes under this contract. Tigelaar, Judy Blume and Stacey Silverman are executive producers of the series.

When the book Summer Sisters was first published in 1998, Tigelaar was a fan of Blume. Blume's novels have sold a total of more than 85 million copies in 32 different languages.
