Peacock brings reboot of Battlestar Galactica

Peacock, NBC's streaming service, has announced that they're working on a Battlestar Galactica reboot.
In 1978, the original Battlestar Galactica (1978) was released at ABC. The series revolves around a group of people who fight for the continued existence of humanity. After wars with the Cylons - a robot race -, the twelve colonies have been destroyed. The survivors, who joined up in a group of spaceships and are captained by the Galactica, are looking for a place to survive. They're trying to find the mysterious third colony, which is called Earth. The series ran from 1978 till 1979.

In 2004, a reboot happened with Battlestar Galactica (2004), which was made by SyFy. This one ran from 2004 till 2009 and received two more spin-offs with Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome and Caprica. Peacock's new reboot will be created by Sam Esmail (Mr Robot) and will be written by Michael Lesslie (The Little Drummer Girl (2018)). He also serves as showrunner.
