The CW orders two series

The CW has announced two new series for the 2020-2021 season. A reboot of a series from 1972 and a drama series.
The CW has order Kung Fu, a reboot of the series starring David Carradine from 1972. Olivia Lang (Legacies), Kheng Hua Tan (Marco Polo) and Shannon Dang (Sorry For Your Loss) will portray a character in this new series.

In Kung Fu, a young Chinese-American woman decides to travel to an isolated monastery in China. When she returns, she finds out that her birth town is overcome with crime and corruption. She uses her martial arts skills and Shaolin values to protect a community and find the person who killed her Shaolin mentor.

Next to that, The CW has also ordered Republic of Sarah. Carlos Leal (Better Call Saul) and Jonathan Slavin (Dr. Ken) will be part of the cast. Besides them, the cast will further consist of Stella Baker (Tell Me Your Secrets), Nia Holloway (Hawaii Five-0) and Luke Mitchell (Blindspot).

The series revolves around Sarah Cooper, a rebellious high school teacher in a small town in New Hampshire. When the town becomes famous all across the world due to locating valuable resources, the inhabitants decide to declare the town independent. Sarah must now lead the group of outsiders as they try to build a new country.
