East Wing, which features Debra Messing, in production at Starz

East Wing, which has been created by Ali Wentworth and Liz Tuccillo, will enter production at Starz. Debra Messing will portray the lead character. Ali Wentworth (Nightcap) and Liz Tuccillo (Divorce (2016)) conceived and wrote East Wing. The series is based on the experiences of Wentworth's mother. She was a social secretary in the White House during the presidency of Ronald Reagan back in the eighties.

East Wing revolves around Hollis Carlisle (Debra Messing), who is a host in the White House and tries to combine that with a threatening husband, rebellious children, the chief of staff from Nancy Reagan and a social anxiety disorder. Debra Messing (Will & Grace) will portray the main character. Next to that, Wentworth will also feature in the series. She will portray Kelly Forbes, Hollis Carlisle's best friend.
