Fallout tv series in production at Amazon

Worldwide best selling video game franchise Fallout will be adapted by Jonathan Nolan (Westworld) and Lisa Joy (Westworld) into a series for Amazon Prime Video.

During the last few months, various parties have tried to acquire the rights to Fallout. Amazon Prime Video has come out the victor, they will now adapt the gaming franchise into something that is suitable for the small screen. Jonathan Nolan (Westworld) and Lisa Joy (Westworld) will develop the series. A full series order has already been placed by Amazon Prime Video.

Fallout will be the first project to be undertaken by Nolan and Joy - who were also part of the creation process of Westworld -, which is part of a larger deal with Amazon. Fallout takes place in a destroyed world due to a nuclear war that happened in 2077. This is based on an 'end of the world' theory that was popular in the US in the 1940s.
