HBO Max orders series about upcoming Batman film

HBO Max has just ordered a series, which is supposed to have a connection to the upcoming Batman movie. By some, it is called Project Gotham.

An official name for the series has not yet been revealed, but some call it Gotham Central, like the comic book with the same name from Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka. The series will be a live-action series, which takes place in the same world as the upcoming Batman film. The film is expected to release in fall 2021, it hasn't been revealed when this series is set to release.

The series originates from The Batman director Matt Reeves (Tales from the Loop), Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire), The Batman producer Dylan Clark (The Mayor) and Warner Bros Television. Terence Winter will write the series. The story will take place in the Gotham City Police Department and will go into detail about the investigation about corruption in Gotham City.
