Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah working on Netflix series Grond

Netflix has announced a new Belgian original series called Grond. The duo Adil El Arbi (Snowfall) and Bilall Fallah (Snowfall) are working on the series.

Adil El Arbi (Snowfall) and Bilall Fallah (Snowfall) were quite successful recently with the movie Bad Boys for Life, which they directed. The Belgian duo is now set to create a Belgian series for Netflix. In Grond, a brother and sister inherit a repatriation company for funerals and they decide to bring Maroccan soil to Belgium which they can use to bury deceased Muslims.

Down below, you can watch the (Dutch) teaser.

Earlier this month, Netflix announced the renewal of the Belgian series Into the Night with a second season. Next to that, Janey from Ireland will become the first Benelux content manager starting in August. This new position indicates that Netflix wants to invest more in Belgian and Dutch productions in the future.
