Sony Pictures Television and Gordon Smith adapt Master of Ceremonies into series

A series adaptation of Master of Ceremonies by David Henry Sterry has entered production at Sony Pictures Television. Gordon Smith (Breaking Bad) will write the script.

Sony Pictures Television has acquired the rights to the book Master of Ceremonies: A True Story of Love, Murder, Roller Skates & Chippendales by David Henry Sterry. Gordon Smith (Breaking Bad) will write the serial adaptation and will also serve as showrunner.

The story revolves around Sterry's time as MC in a world-famous male strip club. It shows the Americas in the eighties through the eyes of the most popular show of Manhattan; Chippendales, where the women are in charge and men are rich, famous or notorious.
