AMC working on series adaptation Sorcerers

AMC is going to adapt the novel Sorcerers by Maurice Broaddus and Otis Whitaker for the small screen. The rights have already been acquired by the network. AMC has acquired the rights of the novels Sorcerers by Maurice Broaddus and Otis Whitaker. The book contains illustrations by the famous artist Jim Mahfood. AMC is now planning a series adaptation for the novel.

The story revolves around Malik Hutchins, the black sheep of one of the most successful families of Harlem. When Malik's beloved grandfather Pop-Pop reveals that Malik is a wizard, he becomes entangled in an adventure. Malik has to protect the world against the forces of dark magic, which seems to be connected to the worst aspects of American history and the terrifying creatures it let loose.
