The Hater will have series adaptation at HBO

Dan Farah (Famous in Love) and Roy Lee (The Exorcist) have started working on a series that is based on the award-winning Polish film The Hater.
HBO is working on a series adaptation of the Polish film The Hater, which was directed by Jan Komasa. The movie revolves around social class, politics, social media, fake news, identity and doing everything it takes in order to be happy. Dan Farah (Famous in Love) and Roy Lee (The Exorcist) will serve as executive producers.
According to Farah, The Hater is both a compelling thriller and a thought-provoking, social, universal commentary.

The movie won the award for best movie in the International Narrative Competition category during the online awards of the Tribeca Film Festival. Netflix acquired the international distribution rights for this movie, which released on the streaming service near the end of July. It hasn't been revealed yet when the series will release on HBO.
