Starz orders spin-off to Blindspotting movie

Starz has formally ordered Blindspotting, a spin-off to the movie with the same name from 2018. The series comes from Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs. Blindspotting revolves around ashley, who is part of the middle class in Oakland. Until Miles - her partner and father of their son - is suddenly locked away. She is forced by Miles to move in with his mother and half-sister, which results in a chaotic and humorous crisis. The series is a spin-off to the movie with the same name from 2018, which was directed by Carlos López Estrada (High & Mighty).

Jasmine Cephas Jones (#Freerayshawn) will portray Ashley. Rafael Casal (Are You Afraid of the Dark? (2019)) will portray Miles. Next to that, Casal has also written the series alongside Daveed Diggs (Snowpiercer). Starz has not yet revealed a premiere date for the series.
