Near the end of 2021, a series that is based on the book by David Kirby will enter production at the Fremantle companies The Apartment and Castlefield.
The Apartment and Castlefield have acquired the rights to the book Death At Seaworld by David Kirby. Production companies have now started work on a ten-part series of the book. Simon Allen (The Watch (2021)) will become showrunner of the series. Production is set to begin near the end of 2021.
The book is based on the true events that happened before the renowned documentary Blackfish. The story revolves around five characters who are connected to SeaWorld trainer Dawn Brancheau, who was killed by the captive orca Tilikum back in 2010.
