The CW is working on series adaptation of Jane Austen stories

There have been quite a few adaptations of the Jane Austen stories. The CW has decided to give it a go as well. The stories will be put in a more contemporary setting.
The CW is working on an anthology series that is based on the stories by Jane Austen. Supposedly, it will be called Modern Austen and each episode will be around 60 minutes long. Each season will revolve around a different story but they will be told in a contemporary setting. The first season is based on Pride and Prejudice and will take place in San Francisco.

The series comes from Eleanor Burgess (Perry Mason (2020)), who will be writing the series and will also serve as executive producer. Next to that, Stephanie Allain (Dear White People) and Gabrielle Ebron will also serve as executive producer. Warner Bros. Television will be responsible for production.
