Paramount+ orders spy series starring Kiefer Sutherland

Paramount+ has ordered a currently unnamed spy series. Kiefer Sutherland (Designated Survivor) will portray the lead character.

The series that has been ordered by Paramount+ comes from John Requa (This Is Us) and Glenn Ficarra (This Is Us). The story revolves around private spy James Weir, who finds himself in the middle of the struggle to maintain democracy. The series takes place in a surveillance state packed with misinformation and behavioural manipulation. Paramount+ has ordered eight episodes. It is not yet known when the first episode is going to release.

Kiefer Sutherland ( 24) will portray the lead character. He will portray private spy James Weir. He had the following to say about his co-operation with Requa and Ficarra: “I’ve been an admirer of John Requa and Glenn Ficarra’s unique body of work for some time, and I’m thrilled to be working on this exciting new project with them and Paramount+”. The name of the project is currently unknown.
