Series adaptation of The Lost Apocathery in the works at FOX

FOX has acquired the rights of The Lost Apocathery, the bestseller by Sarah Penners. The network will adapt the book into a series.

The book was published back in March. Supposedly, FOX is still looking for a scriptwriter. It is not yet known when the series is set to premiere or who will be part of the cast.

The story takes place in 18th century London and focuses on a secret pharmacy that aims at an unusual kind of customers. A mysterious figure called Nella may sell poison which can be used against suppressing men. The fate of the pharmacist is at risk when her new protector - a mentally strong twelve-year-old - makes a fatal error.
