'Rosemary’s Baby' new NBC miniseries

'Rosemary’s Baby' new NBC miniseries

NBC announced in December that they will be making a miniseries about ‘Rosemary’s Baby’. The 1967 book 'Rosemary's Baby' by Ira Levin was made famous a year later, by the film ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ directed by Roman Polanski, starring Mia Farrow as Rosemary. The film has won various movie awards.

‘Rosemary’s Baby’ tells the terrifying story about Rosemary Woodhouse, who has just been married, upon which she and her husband Guy move into an apartment in New York. She soon gets pregnant, but is the baby from Guy? Or are other terrifying forces at work?

Last December, NBC could not give any further details about the actors or a premiere date. But now NBC announced that the lead part will be played by 'Star Trek' and 'Avatar' star Zoe Saldana. The story will be placed in the beautiful French capital Paris and they will start shooting in January.

James Wong ('American Horror Story') will write the screenplay of the four-hour miniseries that will probably air in May 2014.
