Dramaseries Chicano from Natalie Chaidez in productie at ABC

The drama series Chicano, which is based on a book by Richard Vasquez, has entered production at ABC. Nathalie Chaidez (Hunters) wrote the series. Chicano tells the story of multiple generations of the Sandovals, a Mexican-American family that migrates to Los Angeles to chase the American dream. The story follows the struggles and triumphs of the Sandovals from the 1920s till the present day. It also asks what it means to be American.

Chicano comes from Natalie Chaidez (Hunters), Eva Longoria (Grand Hotel (US)) and Forest Whitaker (Empire). The series is inspired by the book with the same name by Richard Vasquez. Chaidez has written the series and will also serve as the executive producer of Chicano.
