Nominations Emmy Awards 2020

The nominations for the most important television awards have been revealed. On the 20th of September, we'll know which television cast and crew are allowed to take Emmy Awards with them.
The nominations for the 72nd Emmy Awards were presented by Leslie Jones (Saturday Night Live). She received the help of Laverne Cox (Orange Is the New Black), Josh Gad (Avenue 5) and Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black). The ceremony could be seen live on Emmys.com. This year, the announcement was entirely virtual due to the coronavirus.

Netflix series have received a total of 160 nominations, from which the most-nominated series is Ozark with 18 nominations. HBO series have been nominated 107 times, 26 of which were for Watchmen. Amazon is doing quite well as well. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has been nominated 20 times. According to the Television Awards, a record amount of series and programs entered the contest, 767 to be exact, divided over 100 categories. That is fifteen percent more than last year.
