On the 31st of July, the BAFTA television awards winners were announced. Richard Ayoade handed out the awards virtually.
In the actual studio, the crew kept their distance from each other and the winners accepted their awards virtually. Idris Elba (photo) received a BAFTA Special Award for his role in defending diversity and new talent. The public was able to select the best moment on television of Virgin Media. The winner became Gavin & Stacey, more specifically the moment that Nessy Smithy is asked to marry.
