Although very difficult, I think I made a nice list: https://www.mijnserie.nl/forum/3-feedback/3742/#reply-15584

I still have to think about it, but I already saw at least one nomination from you that I agree with ;-)

It took some deliberation, but I managed to come up with a list. Now I hope I'll still feel the same way when we can vote :-)

How wonderful that it's time again for the 2025 Series of the Year election! It's unbelievable how quickly time flies, another year has passed, and sometimes it almost feels frightening how quickly the years fly by.

There are so many series coming out that it's sometimes hard to see the forest for the trees, and there's a real risk of missing a gem. That's why I need some time to compile my list.

Quick question: Pluribus is listed in this article https://www.mijnserie.nl/pluribus/nieuws/18263-vince-gilligans-pluribus-is-apples-best-scorende-dramaserie-bij-lancering/ as the highest-scoring drama series on Apple TV. Does this mean I can also classify Pluribus as the Drama genre? Or is it explicitly sci-fi for the Series of the Year election?

You can classify Pluribus as either drama or science fiction. For the Series of the Year election or any other genre filter, it might be justified to nominate it as either drama or sci-fi, depending on what you want to emphasize. Therefore, I've added the drama genre. This now just needs to be approved by a moderator.

Pluribus isn't a drama. It's a post-apocalyptic science fiction series. You can classify almost anything, except comedy and documentary, as a drama. That doesn't mean it's truly a drama series. Think of dramas like: Downton Abbey, The Pitt, ER, 1923, Yellowstone.

On Apple TV+'s streaming service, Pluribus is simply listed as a drama. They use drama as their main genre and sci-fi as a subgenre. According to their own classification, it's therefore a drama series. Furthermore, the series isn't listed under the "science fiction" genre, so Apple clearly considers it primarily a drama.

So it can or can't be done. ;) To put Pluribus under drama in the Series of the Year elections?

If you choose only the science fiction genre on MySeries, the choice is quickly made if you nominate this series under this genre.

I don't really care, but I still find it odd that people aren't following the Apple TV+ streaming service, especially since the series is an Apple TV+ Original. Moreover, the following news item here on MySerie is headlined:

“Vince Gilligan's Pluribus is Apple's highest-grossing drama series at launch.”

Sproet2jes: I would just wait and see which series are nominated in the relevant categories.

Yes, I already provided the link as an example, but I actually asked because I also want to vote for MurderBot (sci-fi). Then I can easily put Pluribus under drama. But we'll see... thanks.
