24 actress Annie Wersching (45) passed away

Actress Annie Wersching, known for her roles in 24, Bosch and Timeless, among others, has died of cancer. Wersching was 45 years old, her publicist confirmed.
Wersching continued filming even after her diagnosis in 2020, including prominent roles in Star Trek: Picard, as the Borg Queen in its second season, and ABC's The Rookie. She was also in the video game version of The Last of Us, which HBO's latest hit series is based on, and Marvel's Runaways from Hulu.

Wersching (pictured) began her acting career in 2002 with a guest role on the UPN science fiction series Star Trek: Enterprise. Several guest roles in various series followed until she was cast in 2009 in the seventh season of the FOX action hit 24 starring Kiefer Sutherland. Wersching played the role of FBI agent Renee Walker for two seasons before her character met her fateful end.

In 2014, Wersching begins her role of Julia Brasher in the Prime Video crime series Bosch opposite Titus Welliver. In the first season she plays a permanent role in this, in the second and seventh (last) season she has a guest role. Her role in Star Trek: Picard in 2022 was her last role on television.

Wersching's husband, actor Stephen Full, released a statement. "There's a big hole in this family's soul today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn't need music to dance. She taught us not to wait until the adventure you find Go find it It's everywhere And we'll find it.

“As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell ‘BYE!’ until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. ‘Bye my Buddie’. ‘I love you little family’...”

Jon Cassar, director and producer of 24, also paid tribute. “My heart has been broken into more pieces than I can count. Annie came into my world with an open heart and an infectious smile. Brandishing such talent, she took my breath away. Annie became more than a workmate, she became a true friend to me, my family, and all the cast and crew members who worked with her. She will be truly missed by them and the fans she always managed to find time with. Annie, you will be missed, you made your mark, and we are all the better for it.

Wersching was born and raised in St. Louis, by her parents Sandy and Frank.

Surviving relatives are her husband and children Freddie, 12; Ozzie, and Archie, 4.
