Actor and producer Gene Reynolds passed away

Gene Reynolds, the American actor and producer of television series and films, died in California at the age of 96.
He became known as the driving force behind the television series Room 222, M*A*S*H ​​and Lou Grant from the seventies and eighties. His widow Ann Sweeney Reynolds announced that he died yesterday.

Reynolds was born in Cleveland, but his parents moved to Los Angeles when he was eleven. He played in films as a boy. One of his first child roles was in a film by Laurel and Hardy (Babes in Toyland).

It was the run-up to roles in dozens of films and television series. At the end of the fifties, he focused on directing and making series. Together with Larry Gelbart, he made the massively viewed and famous comic TV series M*A*S*H, full of black humor, about a military field hospital at the front in the Korean War.
