Actress Nicki Aycox passed away

Nicki Aycox, amongst others well-known for her returning role in Supernatural, died Wednesday. She was 47.
Back in 2020, Aycox was diagnosed with leukemia. Last week, the 16th of November 2022, the actress passed away. The confirmation of Aycox's passing was provided by sister-in-law Susan Raab Ceklosky through a Facebook post.

“My beautiful, smart, fierce, incredibly talented, and loving sister-in-law, Nicki Aycox Raab, passed away yesterday with my brother, Matt Raab, by her side. Nicki and Matt had a wonderful life together in California. She was definitely a fighter, and everyone who knew her loved her,” Susan Raab Ceklosky wrote.

Between 2006 and 2008, Aycox (photo) portrayed Meg Masters in Supernatural and shared the screen with the likes of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.

Supernatural creator Erik Kripke reacted to Aycox's passing through Twitter: “Gutted to hear the great #NickiAycox, our first #MegMasters, passed away. Too young. She was a delight & delivered lines like honey & venom. I marvel at how she made a simple word like ‘lackluster’ legendary.”

The actress started her career with a small role in an episode of Weird Science back in 1996. It was based on a famous movie by John Hughes, which released in 1985. After that, Aycox had quite a number of guest roles in series such as 3rd Rock from the Sun, Boy Meets World, the X Files, Dark Angel (2006), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Twilight Zone (2002), Las Vegas, Criminal Minds, Law & Order, and Longmire. In 1999, Nick portrayed Lily Gallagher as a recurring character in Providence. And from 2004 till 2010, she had a returning role in Cold Case, this time portraying Christina Rush. In the crime series Dark Blue Aycox had a main role for two seasons as Jaimie Allen/Jaimie Anderson before it was canceled. Her final small screen role was in The Glades, which was released in 2013.

She also made her appearance on the big screen, with parts in Jeepers Creepers 2, The X-Files: I want to Believe, Perfect Stranger and The Girl on the Train, just to name a few. Her last acting role was back in 2014 when she portrayed Danielle Williams in the television movie Dead on Campus. In 2015, she created a music album which is titled Red Velvet Room.
