ABC orders pilot of Bucktown

ABC has ordered a pilot episode of the comedy series Bucktown. It comes from Emily Wilson (The Kids Are Alright), Tom Werner and Sara Gilbert (both The Conners). Earlier this month, ABC already ordered three comedy pilots and a pilot of the drama series National Parks, which comes from Kevin Costner. To all that, another pilot order has been added. Emily Wilson (The Kids Are Alright) will write Bucktown. She'll also serve as executive producer. Next to that, Tom Werner and Sara Gilbert (The Conners) will also serve as executive producer. ABC Signature is responsible for production.

The series revolves around Amy. After she was dumped by her boyfriend on the eve of a big promotion, she moves back in with her mother. Amy decides to reconnect with her teenage niece who also lives there due to the final revalidation period of her sister. She eventually decides to stay to support her mother and niece.
